I bit a few days ago. I have a new Coolermaster box sitting in the garage that needed a MITX mobo. Not even sure what I'm going to use it for yet. Prolly experiment with it as a media center. If that does not pan out my 4 year old gets his first PC to play flash games on.

I finally got mine in Friday 2/21.

I was not able to get ubuntu 13.10, Linux Mint 16, Debian Jessie, and Xubuntu 14.04 to connect to the internet via the NIC. (Unfortunately this seems to be a common problem with the board according to other newegg reviewers.) Hopefully this issue resolves itself in the coming months as the Linux support finally catches up.

I also had problems with Ubuntu 13.10 running in low graphics mode and Linux Mint 16 giving me the message "Failed to start the X server (your graphical interface)". I had no problems with Xubuntu 14.04 which I tried after reading this review at Phoronix which complained of similar graphical problems-->

Update 4: I am noticing web browser performance (as of 3-24-2014) is substantially better with the Chromium browser compared to Firefox under the pre-release version Ubuntu 14.04 . (Firefox can occasionally be a little rough on webpage scrolling even at 1280 x 960 resolution, but Chromium is completely smooth all the time at the same resolution. When I increase pixels to 1600 x 1200, Chromium browser is still able to smoothly scroll web pages, but Firefox seems to further increase in roughness.) (EDIT: As of 5/31/2014, I have come across some web content which will scroll rather slowly even with Chromium at 1280 x 960. However, even with this reduced smoothness in scrolling, the browser is still remains very useable.)

I don't get this CPU. It's slower than a 3 year old Brazos E-350 and a first-gen Atom. Sure, it's 9w instead of 13w, but what difference does 4w make in a non-mobile application?

IS this really what AMD is replacing the E-series with?

They might as well since you can underclock their other low end CPUs and end up with more performance than an Atom if the small wattage increase is acceptable, particularly if AMD's Powernow throttling is used.

For some uses it's still more CPU than needed. It's just a bare minimum to get a working system at a low price point. Those thinking CPU performance need not apply.

You can even OVERclock them and get there. Take right now for example, what do I need a high performance system for to post in a forum? The system I'm typing on is a dual core Athlon II 240e with a max TDP of 45W, then with modest o'c it could theoretically reach 70W, but it's idling at 1GHz/1.05V = 10W, but that 10W only IF it were under load at that frequency instead of being around 10% avg utilization so it's probably closer to 5W or less in use.

Indeed, I suspect that if it had at least 4 SATA and they offered a 'nix image ready to roll for server and NAS, these would sell like hotcakes. You could just throw in a SATA card but then the value/$ goes down and space wasted goes up.

Yeah, 4x SATA ports for a software raid array and working NIC would be pretty nice.

BTW Win-7 plays all recorded video I've accumulated, .wtv, .ts, .tp, etc. with onboard video or AMD 5450. I'm satisfied.

Win-7 updates did take a very long time.

Still working on linux distros.

Ordered a 240GB mSATA drive last week for it as the board only has 2 SATA ports. Figured the mSATA for OS, one SATA 3TB drive for storage and one SATA Blue ray drive. Thing is, reading the specs again I'm not sure this thing supports mSATA. Any owners using a mSATA drive on this board??

The owner's manual states it does not support mSATA. (which is very unfortunate IMO)

Really My bad, I should have read more first. A few review sites mistook the wifi expansion slots as mSATA as well. Think I can probably still use it, just get a cheapo SATA controller and drop it in the PCIE slot. I was not planning on putting a video card in there anyway. Thanks for the confirmation.
