ECS K7SEM Micro ATX Motherboard for the Socket A, AMD processors. Was wondering if anyone has tried this yet. I know the on-board 3d is slow as molasses, but it has an AGP slot, so that's not an issue.

yes... i just installed a tv card in one of these.
a friend of mine has this mobo... and it seems to be okay.

but if you ask me... this is probably not your best bet for mobo.

if you need a budget mobo with a whole lot of stuff on-board...
try pc-chips m810lmr.

it seems to be a same board with amr modem.
you should be able to find it for about the same price.

Thanks, just looking for a friend who has a microATX case and is badly in need of an up-grade, but nothing earth shattering.

I got the 810mlr the other day.

The onbaord video is a shiitty, but the LAN is fast, the sound is fine, the board was 110 with duron 750 and HSF

I've built half a dozen rigs with this mother board using Duron 750's and they all work fine. All machines were set up using all onboard functions including AMR modem. All were built in cheapo cases with non AMD approved power supplies. Some of them went to newbies while others are being used in small offices.
