Yes, I have one. I have kept it running for seven days. But as you know ECS has very poor quality control and PCB looks cheap. I will not advise anyone to buy ECS if they have only one PC. How much do you save on mobo? $50 dollars maybe.

Also there are some reports on the net where some folks reported their board died after running fine for 2 months.
 
Mine is still running flawlessly after 6 months. Since the day I first powered it up I've never done anything inside the case other than to blow it out occassionally. Never reset the CMOS, never updated the BIOS, never replaced the original CMOS battery, nada.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this board to anyone who wants a reliable and trouble free system. It kicks a$$, and it's inexpensive to boot.

BTW, running a 1.4 tbird which isn't supposed to work in this board just like many thousands of others. How do you like them apples?
 
If you're building a second computer, this is probably the best board you can get right now. It's been rock solid since I put it together. Of course my VIA boards have been problem-free and fast as well. One of the great advantages of this board are the integrated goodies and the ability to use old/cheap RAM. 😀
 
Mine has been working well also, with a 1.4GHz Tbird, Crucial DDR and a 330W Enermax PSU.

I did some tests with PC133 CL2 memory versus PC2100 at CL2, and the differences in performance were 0% to 10% (edit: in all cases, DDR was at least as fast as PC133). My tests involved 3D rendering, animation and point-of-view flyby in Caligari trueSpace 4.3. So like ST4CUTTER says, pretty good board if you have some PC133 memory to re-use.

Having said that, there seemed to be more than the usual number of people having issues with their individual K7S5A's. YMMV...
 
I have one that has been running six months straight at 124 MHz FSB (933 MHz Duron CPU) w/ Crucial PC2100 DDR. It runs on a generic (Deer?) 300 watt PS. The nice thing is that the best chipset drivers are loaded when is installed XP on it. 🙂
 
I have a K7s5a running with a 200 watt PWS from Sparkle. The board is not as flakey as AT makes ya think 🙂
 
I've built 2 systems using the K7S5A and have nothing but love for 'em 🙂
 
I've had one going for about 6 months now with 3 different video cards 2 cpus (running 1.4 bird right now) and both ddr and sdram without any problems and i haven't update the bios or drivers since the day I got it.
