I believe this is the sis735 chipset mobo that has both SDR and DDR ram support right?
Okay I am thinking about buying this mobo and cpu combo but I have one last question. I heard this mobo you cannot overclock. does that mean No fsb and No multiplier variability whatsoever? I mean this means it is like buying an intel mobo so it auto detect FSB but in AMD case both FSB and muliplier?
thanks for the info

You cannot change the multiplier or the voltage but you can overclock the fsb. Some people have their fsb at around 150 with this board.

True, little to no overclocking help on ECS/PC-Chips boards.

Wrong, not like Intel boards. ECS/PC-Chips boards are so cheap that you can afford the extra CPU power right off the shelf, eliminating the need for squeezing some extra speed out of a cheaper CPU.

peter true.
This is why I am testing my hand in AMD. why pay 100 for say a PIII 700 to overclock to 933 then I can get tbird 1 gig for the same price.
Actually I am lookin at this combo deal on pricewatch at 1st class technology that has 1gig retail box cpu (I think it is retail since it has 3 year warrenty) and this mobo for like 141+shippin

this is a great mb to pick up for someone that wants stability. works great straight out of the box. too bad u really need a 133fsb cpus to fully get the capabilities of this chipset.

btw they have a 1.1 200FSB cpu combo with the same mobo for alittle more. Would it be difficult to get this cpu and this particular mobo to it 133fsb?
