This board just keeps getting better and better 🙂

Here's the info:

The ECS K7S5A V1.x now has a BIOS update called s5a020206.exe, released on the 27th of February.

This will allow the motherboard to support Thoroughbred microprocessors at ratings of XP1800, XP2100 and XP 2200.

whoopty freaking dooo 😉

i'd be more excited if i owned one.... but i have friends who do so i'll pass the info along

Hopefully this trend will keep up til the end of the athlon lifecycle so we can keep our k7s5a's for years & years...

I don't understand whats so amazing about this. KT266A boards should be able to do it, maybe even some 760, if there is enough voltage mods on the board.

Most KT266A boards dont cost 55 bucks.

I had severe stability issues with my ECS k7S5A and My 1.33ghz Tbird until I flashed the bios. WOW! Much faster than my IWILL KK266 and with the same ram!

This board just continues to amaze me! The K7S6A so far has failed to impress me though.
