ECS K7S5A Problem..

Hi all..

I have just upgraded to a new system with an ECS K7S5A Motherboard and a Athlon 1600 XP. I got everything together and powering on but I have what seems like a simple problem. When I boot the board.. all it wants to do is sit at the Checking NVRAM section and do nothing else.

I can not even get into the bios.

What am I missing?

Thanks

It may be you aren't waiting long enough. It takes quite a whild for my system to check ram, but as mentioned, you can hit escape, or change the bios to a quick boot option that bypasses the check.

Ya I was waiting a while..

I got it narrowed to two things creating the problem..
If the Real Magic DVD Decorder Card is in there it will get stuck at the Checking NVRAM Part..

And also if the Live Drive II is hooked up to the SB Live.. then the machine will not turn on at all.(PS.. By the way.. what cable are you supposed to use to hook the Live drive to the SB Live... I used a IDE Cable and obvioulsy its not working.)

thanks
schola
