My K7S5A still works after 2 years and 9 months of (ab)use. The onboard NIC rocks, and, back in the day, it was the fastest Socket A motherboard in existance for the period of about 1 month(until the KT266A started showing up on mobos).

Yay for SiS.

The K7S5A will support up to an Athlon XP 2400+ with a 266 bus, or a 2600+ with a 266 bus (both being Thoroughbred cores) if you can find one of those. Not sure about the Thorton cores.

So what you are saying that the K7S5A can only support max 2400+ cpus with a Thoroughbred core only? What about Barton cores? Can you even find a 2400+ Barton or do they start at 2500+?
