Hi, Ijust installed a new motherboard its ECS-K7S5A with Duron 950, but when I trys to run Win2k, the only message i got from it is, 'Boot record found - ok' and that's it. And then I try to reinstall win2k, after puting in win2k install cd, the only message i got is checking system configuration. Any suggestion on how to find out where is the problem?

I had the same problem with my Athlon 1.33ghz!!! I installed WinXP and everything went fine, but then on restart it would display boot record not found. I relized that the whole system was very unstable. I had to run 100mhz FSB and 133mhz memory @ 1ghz just to get the system stable. When I downloaded the most recent BIOS and flashed my board everything worked great!!!

I would format your disk and flash your BIOS with the current release and then reinstall win2k.

I got the same problem trying to install off my OEM Win2k cd that came w/ my Dell laptop. I just assumed that it was becasue it was dell's cd or something. Used winxp instead and it worked.
