I recently bought this board from newegg and am having trouble with it booting up. After changing some BIOS settings, the system will not boot. I have tried to clear the CMOS memory on jumper 4 with intermittent success. I leave the jumper on 1-2 for a few seconds, nothing happens......leave it over night, nothing happens......leave it that day & it starts up. This has happened twice. After the first time, I left it run at the default settings. It ran flawlessly for a week. Went to change BIOS settings again & the system would not boot. Tried to clear CMOS as stated above for a day and a half and it booted up. Shut it off and replaced side case cover & connected all peripherals and now it has been 2 days of trying to clear CMOS memory & will not boot. I have tried to use the power & reset buttons as some have mentioned with no success. I tired replacing the battery with no success either. The only thing left is to completely remove everything from the board which I am going to try tonight if possible. If this does not work, any other suggestions besides returning to Newegg. Also, looking for suggestions as to either seeing if Newegg will send another one or purchase an entirely different board (any suggestions on a comparable board). I already have SDRAM so would like to stay with it. On board sound is OK and LAN on board is not a neccessity as purchased a card to run an older computer.

One problem I had with this board (remember it is NOT an OC'ers board) was when I tried to set the FSB to 133 with a Duron.....dead city ....had to clear the CMOS to get it to POST. For me to clear, I just set the jumber on 1-2 for about 15 seconds, returned it back to 2-3 and was able to get into the BIOS. You might want to try re-seating your memory also. My suggestion is when you do get into the BIOS, leave the settings at 100/100. Are there any other systems like a flashing light on your floppy?

Duron's FSB is only 200, setting the cpu frequency to 266 (133x2) sure will make it no works. I dunno if the memory is DDR, I, once read one of the reviews before I bought this mobo succesfully setting the FSB of Duron to 133 after replacing the SDRAM with DDR RAM PC2100. Sigh, ... I wish I had enough money to buy DDR memory, the price keeps goin' up.

You have to unplug the power cord when you reset the bios. The batteries are a big problem with this board also.
