Recently my budget computer went down and I've diagnosed the problem to be my motherboard. I was wondering without upgrading the whole system what is a comparable mobo that ECS makes. I havent had time to do my research or anything.

Is it this one?

Thanks In Advance

First, you need to let people know what components you have in your "budget computer", so that they can be matched up with the right MB. From the link you listed I guess we can assume you have a socket A CPU but more info is better than guessing on things. Also, are you still looking for budget boards? Do you have any brand preferences or dislikes?

if you switch from K57SA to the one you link, you will need some work on windows as it from a sis chipset to a VIA..

Yeah, the K57SA was one of very few boards to use that sis chipset. A reinstall is usually a good idea for a mobo swap. Anyway, I've had great luck with refurbed boards from newegg, since you just need the board that might be a good option. Right now Im running a K7VTA v.3 I got refurbed from newegg and I love it.

What makes you think the mainboard is dead? (In 99 percent of cases where this is assumed, it actually isn't!)
