ECS floppy problem?

I have the infamous ecs k7s5a. I just built a new system with an epox 8kha+. I am currently on the ecs board trying to make a BIOS flash boot disk for the epox board. I keep getting errors when trying to make the boot disk. I could always unplug everything and plug it into my box with the epox in it but I'd liek to try and identify the problem.
I believe I remeber people posting that there were problems with something to do with making a boot disk in win2K on the ecs. I have searched but there are a large number of k7s5a posts. Does anyone have any info to back up a floppy problem with the ecs?

Nope, cause I remember hearing about a problem people were having when they tried to make a boot disk. I can't remember exactly but I never flashed it because everything (that I know of) works perfectly. That's why I was hoping someone here had an idea of the problem.

I'm looking for the bios now.

What do you mean by that?

What he means is this is a problem with win2k and I believe xp or xp pro. It however is not an issue with win98se or me...That is what he means...

The fix was done in a rather early bios...you must have a revision 3 or older board...

You need to make the bootup disk at another computer or make a bootable cd-rom disk and turn your bios setting to boot off of the cd-rom first...

go to www.ocworkbench. com and the instructions are there...

<< He means the floppy problem has been related to K7S5A and W2K. Not prominant in other OS's. >>

Gotcha. That's what I thought, i jsut wanted to make sure.

<< go to www.ocworkbench. com and the instructions are there... >>

I'll see what I can find out there.
Thanks for the info.
