Well, I was gearing up for it.... Got the K7S5A in this afternoon and, sure enough, it's a dud. Hooked up cpu, memory, psu, power switch and system speaker and got nothing with the board setting on cardboard out of the case. I'm very tempted to have NewEgg credit me on return for an Epox board but I don't know..... this has been a very bleak day and it is fitting to end it with a dead MB. I still have my trusty Pro2-A.
 
Yes, I did... doubled checked. I wasn't getting anything at all, no fans, nothing. It was definately a no power issue. I doubled check to make sure ram and cpu where seated correctly and the power switch was where it was suppose to be. I should have at least gotten the case fan and cpu fan.
I have a sparkle 300w so I don't think that would have been an issue. As I said, it was resting on cardboard out of the case so I don't how it could have shorted.
