IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 1.0 PLANETS.

1.8 planets for me.. but who the hell came up with the qualifications for this test? It's so stupid. The world can only support 4.5 acres per person world wide. BAH, if that was true, we'd all be dead right now.

They say I use 4 Acres of shelter which is a wrong. My house is on a quarter arche. Furthermore, 7 people live in it so that has to mean something. 4 arches? They must think because its a 2500+ Sq ft. house that it has massive ammounts of land.

Nope, just smart. :p

I teach at a school I can walk to... a choice I made because I didn't want to sit in traffic for hours on end. When I first started teaching, I spent 8 hours a week driving to work! Not worth it.

My husband is an efficiency freak (electrical engineering did that to him) and made our house very energy efficient.

And because I don't want my family to be fat and unhealthy, we don't eat a lot of meat or processed foods. I shop for fresh, local goods as much as possible.

One of the nice side effects is that even though I'm closer to 40 than to 30, most people are suprised to find out that I am over thirty at all. Not a bad trade off for being environmentally thoughtful!

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 5.9 PLANETS.

If everyone lived like me, hell would be a crowded place.

LOL, yes I am. And the mother of 3.

Me on my 37th birthday a few months ago, no makeup on, after partying all day on a catamaran in St Kitts (I'm the brunette).

And I don't care if anyone would hit it (or my sister, the blonde) or not! :p

Sadly, only 5.7 planets.

How do they define 'need'???

I mean is that, if everyone lived like you, we would use 5.7x the energy we use today (which means that 'need 5.7 planets' is very silly)
If it's the estimated capacity of the planet...how are they choosing the maximum energy output of the planet??

IN COMPARISON, THE AVERAGE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT IN YOUR COUNTRY IS 24 ACRES PER PERSON.

WORLDWIDE, THERE EXIST 4.5 BIOLOGICALLY PRODUCTIVE ACRES PER PERSON.

IF EVERYONE LIVED LIKE YOU, WE WOULD NEED 2.8 PLANETS

Pretty cool :D

Yes but what I meant was think of the material in and needed to make what you own/ consume............
