I received my order from them yesterday and I am quite impressed with the Eclipse Computer Light (designed to prevent eye strain). Check out the better description at Think Geek ($40). They are normally $50 at Mary's Corner, but Mary is having a half of sale on everything, though it is mostly NOT computer stuff. Eclipse Light at Mary's ($25) This seems to be one of the best deals (I also picked up some dog toys there). I used the light at home and immediately noticed the difference. I'm ordering more for the office now.

Enjoy.

I've been eyeballing those too. Been wanting to get one for a while, just couldn't see paying $40 from ThinkGeek. I guess I'll have to keep my eye peeled for good deals on em in the future.

Sorry for all the bad puns ;)

Yeah, got mine from Staples too. Good light. Only thing better would be a dimable ceiling spot/floodlight over your computer/desk.

At Staples, I bought a Tensors light that attaches to the top of the computer ,has the exact same bulb as the Eclipse, has a clip for attaching a document , includes a gooseneck for best viewing angle, and it only retailed for $20.00 .

checked both websites, and didn't see it in either. I remember for a fact it was Staples, as they are the only place I can get the correct size and brand rubber bands for the particular silicone rubber molds I make( another hobby, another time :)

I got one of these from Staples too (actually, two of them, gave one to the boss as a present). I can't believe the difference with the light versus without the light. I wear contacts and after staring at the screen for hours on end your eyes are usually blood shot and dry. With one of these babies yours feel much better...

danii8: Just pick up some more of the double stick tape (or whatever the tape is called with sticky stuff on each side). They sell the same kind with a foam center as is on the bottom of these lights at the office stores...

Yes these rock!

I actually just got mine today. Finally broke down and ordered it from thinkgeek (with $10 coupon). I love the color of the light--very soothing! It also casts a cool glow on your wall and desk!

Staples.com rep said they were closing these out... guess they're not that popular. In any case, the guy said that they wouldn't be getting any more in.

I just picked up an Eclipse light at Marshalls for $24.99, they have a gifts section for the holidays set up... I'd been hearing about it and picked one up. I like it, I might go back and buy one for my dad for Christmas...

Doesn't this light make your monitor display warbly? It does to mine. I really liked it too. I got it at Marshall's for 30...I dunno why someone got it for 25, but I dont care...it's nice, cept that DAMN WARBLE! My other flourescent doesn't make this monitor warble, but then again it's not sitting directly on it. Well, sucks for me..guess I have to return it.

Got it! figured it out. The ballast for the flourescent is built into the AC adapter..and the adapter was plugged into a surge protector right behind my monitor...i relocated the adapter to a surge on the floor and now it works fine! I'm happy now.

Your help would be greatly appreciated...

I'll tell ya what, this damn light falls off my monitor too many more times... and someone at the return department is gonna need a VERY skilled proctologist to retreive it. I've even added additional 2-sided tape to help the little sticky pads to no avail. Great as a light source, PoS as far as mechanical design.

I just placed my order for the light and the Aluminum planner.. They might still be processing but it didn't say sold out or anything to that effect when I placed the order...

Hey BigZ, I have the exact same problem. I tried to put the thing on top of my monitor filter, and it kept falling off. So instead of placing the light toward the front, I moved it to the back. So far, it hasn't fallen down yet, but I have been pushing on it every few days to make sure.

Man my is solid. I guess I stuck it on and didn't move it so maybe that helped. Plus I made 100% sure there was no dust there as that just gunks it up... Odd though... I dunno how they would design a better mount.
