I tried this and also got erroneous output. I have a guess as to what's going on, reinforced by a little 'accident' I just made. I had backed up my eccp109 folder to my desktop (but curiously not my registry
) before trying this, and after it failed on reboot, I copied a link to the client into my startup folder, from the copy on the desktop and removed the desktop copy.
Now I changed the target path to the eccp109 folder, but I had apparently forgot to change the 'start in' folder from desktop to eccp109.
Well, on reboot, I got the same garbage from the client as when running it from the registry. So, when running from the registry it probably isn't starting in the right place and/or can't read the supporting files it needs to. Unfortunately I don't know how to make it do that via the registry method. But perhaps you, or someone else, can figure that out.
