I know all of you have been stressing out trying to determine what to get me for Christmas. (You have haven't you? :Q) I'll make your life easier by telling you exactly what I want.

In two words --- more power.

I know what you're thinking (how could test audiences want to see less of Britney Spears in her underwear in her movie?), but I'll pretend that I'm actually capable of holding your attention and this is what you're thinking:

"Gosh, MereMortal, how do I go about that? And how much more power do you want? Tell me please!!"

Ok, here's my nefarious plan. We have been getting outrecruited left and right. If we want to stay competitive as a TeAm, we need at a bare minumum an increase of 25 GHz in computing power. If we want to regain 2nd place, make that 50 GHz (that averages to about 1 GHz per active member). Oh, yes, and one other thing -- ASAP!

For those gregarious extroverts who are able and willing, I would like to get you on a committee to have a recruiting drive here on the forums. Let's take advantage of the holiday treasure trove of new computers. Please pm me if you are interested.

Anyone else should feel free to do recruiting in your own local environment. Let grandma know you love her by introducing her to the wonderful world of ECCp. Your college buddies or workmates owe you a favor for that thing you did for them last week, too. Work it, baby!

Finally, I know some of you just aren't into the whole concept of recruiting. That's fine. But I do ask for this --- please be a little more vocal. Post every now and then. We'd love to hear from you. Nothing dries up enthusiam quicker than dead air time. Come welcome new members. Tell us a joke. Bump a recruitment thread. Reveal your great new idea for the TeAm. Let me know I'm a moron. Anything. Just post.

Tomorrow I will start posting how many GHz we add. So if you assimilate let me know by posting (or pm) what you've added. We'll also have to find out what new members are bringing to the table.

Let's see what we can add by 2002!

Thanx for the stats MM Thanx also for posting the "win one for the Gipper" speach I'm currently trying to get some friends and family(hope they don't see it like the old MCI plan :Q) to enter the fray. I've been unproductive the last week myself I sold my 1.4 T-Bird and my new XP1500+ won't be here till wednesday :disgust: so all I have going is a duron@933mhz right now. I'll hopefully be dumping a couple of hundred points a day by thursday Anyways, like MM said, lets get some more people and/or systems on this!!!
