ECCp-109 iterations and DPs...

Well, I got the GUI 1.27 client running and I'm pumping out like 750k iterations/second.... how many DPs should I expect to be contributing to TA with that kind of results?

Also, the Athlon optimized client is a screensaver? I did not install it from the ZIP file because I dont want the screensaver to totally kill my Seti times... is it a screensaver in the same respect that the Seti GUI was a screensaver and would only kick in after a certain period of inactivity?

btw, my Seti times so far have only been knocked back by one half of an hour/WU... not too bad...

You can get a pretty good approximation using the speed page at Speed Page. On average you will get 1 dp for every 530,000,000 or so points calculated. This works out to about 122 dp's per day at 750k iterations/sec.

BTW: Nice production, I don't have any system that comes close to that. Time to upgrade!

Corsairpro, here's the deal with the screensaver. It is a problem with using winzip wizard. If you run winzip in classic mode, you will see clients for command-line, GUI, and screensaver.

You definitely want to run the optimized athlon client. On my 1330@1500, I get around 925-930k it/s (virtually nothing else running on the machine).

LadyStarDust, if you're around, this may also have been the problem you had recently. I don't use winzip wizard so it didn't occur to me, but for some reason today I recalled a discussion that happened months ago about the problem and verified it for myself.

the speed pages don't even come close to as high as what the eccp points/sec/mhz should be.
Its accurite for RC5, but not eccp.

I believe that there is a problem with how the zip file was created, so the problem may not be isolated to WinZip. If you could list which decompression software you use on your system, that would be helpful in diagnosing the scope of the problem.

I believe it had a built in unzipper. I have winzip but it is on my w98 partition, I keep forgetting to put it on the 2K one🙂

Unfortunately, I know nothing about Win2k.

You could either install WinZip, or if you tell me which enhanced zip file you need, I would be willing to decompress it and post the individual files on a web page for you to download at your convenience.

Or you can just tell me to go away. 😉

Or I could get off my lazy butt and install Winzip on the other partition...not all that hard...I think I burned it to a CD when I reformatted so I didn't have to d/l it 🙂 I guess I am just lazy 😀

So I don't need to delete or uninstall what I have now...for some reason I feel I should
