ECC memory compatibility question

Quick question for you guys:
My friend has an old Dell system with 128MB of PC100 is his box, but its ECC ram. Is this compatible with non-ECC ram? Thanks for the help,

We got lots of those at work 🙂. It's our main desktop computer. You can't mix ECC and non-ECC memory in them.
