ECC is not only enabled on Ryzen, but it works! ...Sort of.

Is this a failure of board partners not knowing how to implement ECC with Ryzen or a failure of AMD trying to reserve that functionality for higher-end chips? Basically, who's responsibility is it to fix it and will that party do it? Either way, they better get ahead of it now before people start buying ECC modules.

Ryzen could make an amazing cheap server platform, but broken ECC could be a deal-killer for some.

Excellent piece! I guess motherboard manufactures are waiting on AMD HEDT platform to validate and fully implement ECC befrore easily backporting it to AM4.

AMD clearly has their hands full if they intend to follow the R7 launch in March with the R5 launch in April, Vega and Polaris refresh in May/June, and mobile Raven Ridge, Ryzen HEDT, and server SKUs before 2018... That's nearly a complete top-to-bottom CPU and graphics catalog in a calendar year.
