ECC for Threadripper ? Fast ? 3466 like ?

For those that have or are going to have a threaripper, would you buy fast ECC memory ?

Threadripper is a workstation chip. ECC should work just fine providing you use the right board, though I haven't tried it personally.
 
I don't have or plan to have a Threadripper, so the poll isn't applicable, but I would probably buy some for my 1800X.

1800X can use only ECC UDIMMs, but Threadripper can use ECC UDIMMs and ECC RDIMMs.

Is this thread only about ECC RDIMMs? (For high capacity usage the RDIMMs would be needed)

P.S. I would be interested in the ECC UDIMMs in combination with Intel Optane DIMMs (the Optane DIMMs compensating for the crippled PCIe lanes found on the AM4 platform.....but also able to boost performance of Threadripper (and EPYC) as well.)
