If you are on Vista/7, then most of these programs are redundant. What IS interesting is eboostr claims to utilize more RAM on a 32-bit system with 4GBs of ram.

If it allows one to use, say, a small SSD for caching, surely it can only improve performance, no?

Per the reports:
  • its cache is persistent, therefore a plus over Fancycache
  • a glorified Readyboost/ Superfetch, utilizing an SSD, is a neat idea

Okay, so after using it for a bit on the girlfriend's netbook, it got swiftly uninstalled.

Simply put, eBoostr recognizes your usage patterns, but only applies the changes to its cache when rebuilt (automatically every hour if PC is idle, otherwise triggered by clicking a button). It is not dynamic in nature ala Momentus XT/ SRT/ Dataplex/ Superfetch/ Readyboost, etc.

Bummer.

Personally couldn't be bothered with the shuffling of programs, thus caching is my only option (especially after having felt the responsiveness improvements my Momentus XT 500GB brought).
