hmmm, its an advancement, but is it really needed?

Ebola is not man made and therefore from nature .... as a rule of thumb I would rather not fvck with mother nature.

I guess it is very Darwinian of me, but the strong (and smart) survive while other are taken out of the gene pool.

Plus if over population wasn't a problem already, now we are getting rid of natures way of culling the herd.

Just a thought.

good idea. let's abolish all medical science and leave it all to darwin.

Thats a bit extreme, and I never said that .... look at my reply above, Ebola comes from monkeys ... stop eating them or prepair them normally

Um.. pretty much all disease is natural... Since when did we start designing bio weapons that are being regularly released to the population?

I wouldn't say that's the only way to get Ebola in the first place... since it jumps host by bodily fluids, you can also get it by trying to save a bleeding monkey and you have a cut on your hand unknowingly (how some doctors and nurses got it from the outbreak a while back)...

They have also not confirmed that only monkeys carry this virus... The virus kills monkeys, but other species might also carry it with no visible illness at all...

Not all diseases or viruses come from eatting raw animal flesh either, b/c if you do Darwin is waiting.

So what you're saying is anything we catch from eating raw meat should not be treated?

You can play the semantics game all day, fact of the matter is that people will learn one way or another .... eat raw meat, you might get something ... so you don't ... done.
Where as you help or cure someone that does that and they will continue to eat raw meat, and show others that it ok to do the same, therefore not actually solving anything.
