bah...piss on this game...i'm quite sure of what i searched for on round 3 and didnt find sh1t...

While it would be a very interesting bullshit game just to get advertisement for eBay listings....

It's possible that the auctions are immediately taken off search when someone clicks the Buy Now thing, and it could take a while for them to show it on the Clues page. So, it's likely that every clue will be solved within the minute... you just have to be the person that finds it within seconds. So that means... keep refreshing the clues page every 5 seconds waiting for the new clue.

heh, american flag was the auction, i searched for US flag... doh

Pff! I didn't think it would be that obvious! I was searching for Francis Scott Key and Carrol County and crap like that. Cheap.
WTF??

I searched for "american flag" and didn't see anything. The auction is a Buy it Now auction, right? I know it hadn't been found yet, unless it had JUST been found and the treasure hunt page hadn't been updated or something... Weird...

Does the search string have to contain ALL the words in the title? So to find that auction you would have had to search for "new american flag"?

i think i'm gonna call bs on this whole thing...i searched for american flag 15 minutes before it was found and didnt come up with sh1t...

and i know american flag was exactly what i searched for...
lol

The only logical explination I can come up with is that there is a lag between when the page is actually found, and when the treasure page updates. But the auction may be deleted immediately. So we can't find it, but it appears to still be available.

When you think about it, thousands of people probably typed in "american flag" at the same time....

hmmm.... i'm kinda irritated by the quill answer...

i should probably go to bed since it's 5:25 here.... but maybe i'll wait for 1 more if it comes soon

😀 If you look at the eBay discussion board for the treasure hunt... it looks like everyone is doing pretty much what we've been doing.

But 1000$ sure would be nice.. lol

Yep, exactly what's going through my mind...

I've searched Golden Gate Bridge, Empire State Building, Panama Canal, Netherlands Sea Protection Works, Itaipu Dam, the Channel Tunnel (also used "Chunnel") and the CN Tower. Nothing.

Gah, see.. I was close(although I didn't know which one of the 7 it was..), but I guess I suck at thinking laterally or something.. cuz I would have never searched for that based on the clue.

I searched for "tea" too, I must've just missed that kettle... damnit!

Also.. I guess Broadway is in New York, and so is the Empire State Building... 😕

Anyone who is getting to the auction before it is taken down needs to be taking SCREENSHOTS so we can determine patterns- ebay is pulling the auctions almost immediately so a link is no help...
