Ebay suggestion

I had an item for sale on Ebay. My auction said I will only ship within the US.
THis morning I find some guy from Isreal won my auction. He already paid me via paypal for the item and $37 for shipping.

He has 310 transactions and 100% positive feedback. The auction ended about twice what I expected to get for it. Should I sell it to him or tell him sorry?

310 with 100% is pretty good. If $37 covers shipping, I would go ahead and sell it to him. Depends on what the item is though. Also, id check out his latest feedback. Maybe a hacked account?

There's something inherantly fishy about an eBayer that has 100% positive. I dunno, it just makes me think that it's a fake account or something.

I've never heard that opinion before. I have an account with 100% positive and it's not fake... *shrugs*

Sometimes people will boost their own feedback with fake accounts, check it and see if it's all random gibberish. I'm betting he's on the level, check how much it'd be to ship.

I'd say the fact that he already paid and does not want to mail a check or have "USPS Money Gram" email should mean he is likely on the up and up. Unless the account was hacked like someone mentioned. Make sure all the addresses are verified.

his address is unconfirmed in Paypal, although paypal says: Most non-U.S. addresses cannot be confirmed at this time because many international credit card platforms do not support methods to do so.

i looked at previous ebay transcations and most are books (mostly books on statues and stuff like that). he does have one for a gamecube monster cable and a pc game. he also bought some other pc games and a gameboy advance.

he hasn't sold anything.

looks like it might be ok to send to him

It sounds legit. Maybe one more thing you could do (if you haven't already) is send an email directly to his PayPal email address just to confirm the auction. That way you can confirm that the email addresses match and he just isn;'t spoofing his email headers with fake info.

It ended at twice as much money as what you expected? He may be from Isreal, but he's not Jewish.

*shrug* I'm not saying that all 100% accounts are fake, it just seems... "too good" to me. I'm a cynic, sue me :p

i sent an email to the buyer asking to verify that he did bid on this item and how he calculated the shipping cost.

he sends back that i sent him an email with the cost. the only email i sent to him prior to the verification email was to tell him that i DO NOT ship outside of the US.

now i'm a little concerned. I asked him to show me the email i supposedly sent to him stating the shipping price.

I would withdraw the money from PP first then send. That way he does not try to dispute once sent.

MIne's 100% positive too, o-well. Email him and say your auction stated shipping to US only, maybe you can work something out. I had the exact same thing happen and he had me ship it to an office in NJ.

That makes ZERO difference. Paypal will just withdraw from your bank account or at the very least, it become a bad mark on your credit rating as you will 'owe' paypal the money. They will more than likely send it to 'collections'.

This is why I have 2 checking accounts. I transfer from PP to Checking B, then from checking B to checking A, then to ING. :D
