It doesn't. First class and priority mail are routed identically, it's otherwise just all marketing. Always send first class if it's under 13 ounces. If it's a letter put a piece of foam in it to make it at least 5/8 inches thick to qualify it, though. Some post offices are arseholes and will send it back.

Dude I worked for eBay when they did the marketing for the boxes, some very high level postal people confirmed what I'm telling you. The "time in transit" map is also a product of the marketing folks.

So

'First Class Parcel Post' = First Class
or
'First Class Parcel Post' = Parcel Post

Parcel post =/= first class. First class is a package under 13oz, above that "parcel post" is their standard shipping rate and is slower than first class or priority.
