How does an Ebay second chance offer work? I just received notification of this in my email that i have an opportunity for this, but have never been through the process. Is there a policy for what the price must be set at?

Hmmm... maybe I missed this point, but if my bid did not meet the Reserve price, but the highest bidder did and backed out of the deal, then is my second chance offer to be set at the price of my last bid? (keeping in mind it was less than Reserve)

It means that the winning buyer backed out, or seller refused to sell for some other reason. The price is whatever was your highest bid.

It will be your highest bid. The seller decided that maybe his reserve was too high, so he wants to offer it to you for the next best price.

I'm taking your advice here... where do I see anything about this second chance offer once I log into my account though?

Edit: I'm just going to send a message to the ebay account name from this auction to see if its legit or not. Probably not though :frown:... would have been a good price though.
