Ebay Rant

Yeah, there a bunch of people that try to get around ebay fees by upping shipping. So long as it's reasonable I'll pay. Along those lines, there are often times where a seller IS being reasonable and still gets folks ranting about their shipping charges.

But yeah... If somebody is selling a keychain with like $15 shipping... That's bad ju-ju.

eBay does that a lot.

I play DDR a lot (don't laugh) and they have a lot of great mats on eBay that would normally cost 100 dollars in a store, for only 15 bucks. But then shipping isl ike 30 dollars, so you end up paying like 50 bucks anyway. Still a good deal though.

$100 to ship a monitor?? Thats just stupid.

Is it an LCD or CRT? CRTs can be pretty expensive to ship since they weigh so damn much

This is done to reduce the seller's fee to ebay, which is based on the final bid only, no shipping.

Someone wanted to buy my 21" Dell monitor. It weighed 72lbs. Anything above 70lbs gets labled overweight and occurs a overweight fee.

Shipping for my monitor ranged from $85-$150 using UPS, DHL and FedEx.

Its an LCD monitor

anyway, dont call me a nub. I take offense to that. I can see where you charge a little extra on shipping to cover fees, but it costs maybe MAX $20 to ship, plust 20 shipping supplies. There are not $60 in fees on a $150-200 item are there?

hey....you're the one buying assholes

I simply won't buy something on ebay that has exorbitant shipping rates. All it does it encourage these dirtbags to hike em further.
I understand that they are trying to offset the blatantly high fees that Ebay collects from sellers but still I hate these kind of selling tactics.
Pricewatch revisited.

final price + shipping price = total price.
If that total price is too high for you ... DON'T BID!
Why do you care if the post office gets the money or if the seller gets the money. If the total price is too high or if shipping price is not stated, don't bid. It's a free country ... click the back button - how hard is that?
