I won an auction for a used PC game on April 2. I paid the same day. So far I haven't heard anything from the seller. I sent him a message on Friday, but no response.

I've bought stuff on ebay before, but I've never had to wait this long before the seller showed signs of life. How long should I expect to wait? Thx.

I'd say you've waited a pretty good amount of time already. Chances are it's already been shipped and it may show up today. I'd wait a couple more days and then start contacting ebay, etc.

You should have heard from the seller after you paid them, and when they shipped it.

However, it's entirely possible they shipped it without telling you, as far as not responding to your message on Friday, it hasn't been all that long since Friday, and they don't seem to be good at contacting you anyway, or it could be some technical issue with their e-mail, but I personally don't put much stock in that excuse.

Yeah...sometimes I haven't heard from the seller before they ship the item either. I'd wait another day or two and if you haven't received the item OR heard from the seller, I'd try to contact the seller!

I've been very cautious about ebay transactions lately. I do not send payment until I get a payment reminder from the seller, and I do not send auction until I get my payment. People who don't respond within 24 hours and make up lame excuses about their mom dying should diaf and have their ebay acct terminated.

Wait.. you expect people to pay you within 24 hours but yourself won't pay until reminded later? Don't you think that's being a douchebag?

i agree. if he sends the stuff, ask him for feedback and tell him your excuse is that since you only have a rating of 11 positives, you're trying to build up your reputation. then give him a neutral or negative. if it takes 2 weeks or more to receive the item, give him a negative for sure. i don't care how "mean" it seems, he needs to get his act together
