How can I have 4 bids on a auction and the orginal price is still the same?

Look at the bid history; only one person has bid on it.

One bidder has entered four bids; he must've changed his mind quite a big (for better or worse) about how much he wants to spend on your item.

Did you put in a maximum bid price? If so, maybe someone bid a price lower than you and since you beat them you then had a "new bid" at the price above theirs.
