eBay problems: seller hasnt shipped in 2.5 weeks

Leros

Over two weeks ago, I bought some razor blades on eBay. I paid right after buying them.

Ten days later I emailed the seller and asked him if he had shipped yet. He said that all 500 of his packages got returned cuz his printer was malfunctioning and the labels were messedup. He said he reshipped on July 29th. I emailed him again on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and today asking him whats going on. He hasnt responded. He is still activly posting new items on eBay, so its obvious he is ignoring me.

I noticed that other people who bought razor blades about the saem time as me have left postive feedback saying they received them.

Now this guy has over 20,000 nearly feedback. He has like 15 negatives. Pretty darn good. I cant imagine why he would be ignoring me.

Is it time to file a complaint with paypal yet?

Edit: I asked him to provide proof of shipment, that is when the communication stopped.

You should've filed the complaint 1.5 weeks ago. 😛

The thing is, he has such great feedback that I want to give him the benifit of the doubt. But I'm on my breaking point.

On the positive side, I havent shaved in over a week and I think im liking not shaving.

usually are dealers. sometimes things get messed up. however, most will refund ur money, or send u replacement.

Wait couple more days. sometimes they take 3 business days to respond. so he may not have gotten to urs yet. Not that im defending him, but since he responded to u before, not sure why he would ignore u now.

But yeah, file a complaint in 2 days. that should get his attention.

If thats the case, then he lied to me about shipping them the first time, them coming back, and him reshipping them. I count that as 3 lies.

I bought 32 Mach3 Turbos for $40 ($35+ship). That would cost about $95 at my local walgreens (thats if you buy 4packs, I dont know how much 8 packs cost).

Looking at his latest feedback. I'm seeing mixed things. These are all in the past few hours.

+ Brand New as described, thanks

+ Great items, just as described

- Guy is a FRAUD...paid him on July 19 today is Aug 9..NO BLADES FRAUDULENT

- NEVER SENT, sent many emails, seller stopped responding, filed complaint, BEWARE

+ Thanks for the nice product! Seller resolved slight shipping problem

- Still havent got my blades, hope i still get them cuz payed 41$pleasesendblades

call the guy first... if you cant reach him, then start the complaint. You'd be surprised how much a simple phone call can straighten things out.

I tried calling a few days ago. After seeing his feedback a few minutes ago, I went ahead and filed a dispute with Paypal. From my experience disputes are pretty easy to win.

I once sold a guy some jackets for $300, he got them and left positive feedback. A month later he filed a dispute and funds gotten taken out of my bank account, causing my account to go negative. Of course, I fought it, but apparently Paypal doesnt care.

After a filing a complaint, the guy responded to paypal (I still havent personally heard from him).

His side of the story:
"Shipping Company:CA Canada Post
Tracking Number:canada post standard !!"

Should I be able to win this dispute? He didnt provide a number or a recepit. And the point that he refuses to contact me stands.

Do a User ID information request to get his phone number, which will do 2 things. Show him you're serious about resolving the issue, and also give you his phone number so you can call.

I would also immediately file a "Square Trade" complaint. This won't affect his feedback, but it does start an official investigation by PayPal / Ebay into the matter.

I usually give the other party 2 weeks to resolve the issue, then I do both of these immediately. You've given him 2 1/2...

Once the other party receives an official complaint from Square Trade, the other party suddenly gets much more "communicative" and willing to resolve any issues.

try another email address of yours to send him an inquiry... maybe somehow the one you use with ebay is now blocked by his spam filters.

Its funny. He emailed me after the paypal dispute and said:

"Canada post!!!! GOSH"

Thats all he said. He hasnt responded to anything emails ive sent after that. This whole thing is weird cuz he has a few years of near perfect feedback, now he has 10+ negative feedback in one day.

Nope, he is still listing new stuff.
Hi, what's his eBay username?

I'd rather not give it away. I dont see any reason to give it out, and for all I know he hasnt done anything wrong. Maybe Im too nice of a person.

im my experience, buying from any ebay power sellers stinks. They have too much great feedback to give a hoot. Bank on receiving slow shipping, substandard packaging, and the use of feedback mirroring (if you leave positive, then they will leave positive, if you leave negative- they will leave negative).

No kidding, I would love to leave negative feedback. However, I only have 5 feedback total, so a negative would really hurt.
