ebay problem

guy bought cable for $1, shipping $4. i get his address, shipit to him (comes to $4.30 but oh well)

package comes back to me with a "no forwarding address on file" notice.

he wants me to send the package again, but will not pay for additional shipping, and insists the original address is correct.

what should i do?

i sold an xbox video cable for $1, it was my first sale, and i was trying to get the hang of it on a small item. guess i'm outta luck

Check every link and fill out every form on eBay's website relating to the problem, file with Square Trade.

BTW, another reason I never try to sell anything worth less than $25.

You need to sell them a thousand at a time to make any real cash.

I'd tell him either he foots the bill for additional shipping or you file non-paying bidder on him.

i guess thats what I will do. I'm just weary because he paid almost instantly the first time, has had good comm. all through. I don't want to seem like a jackass, but i guess i have to cover my ass...

I personally would just eat the shipping cost and keep good relation with your bidder. It's not his fault though because it could easily be the post office, fedex, or ups. one time I bought something online and when I checked the shipping status it said they were unable to deliver the package because the address didn't exist even though they've delivered to my work before.

I think you can check the validity of the address at the post office, before you ship again.

normally i wouldn't mind doing this, and it was my first thought, but the item itself only sold for $1.00....i'd rather refund him that amount and be done with it...

ask him to go 50/50 on the extra shipping costs

Add in a clear scan/picture of the package with address and return label clearly visible so he knows you have a legit complaint and are not trying to sucker him for more shipping.

Heck, on the 2nd shipping attempt, I'd just use the media rate. Cheaper than 1st class.
