BUT - seller beware, I can game the system also and leave a neg at 89 days warning future folks to look at Amazon.com. I'm unsatisfied because she charged $12 shipping and didn't incur any shipping charges. I'll give the seller a chance to refund them, they won't, neg at 89 days. 😀

You are the one in the wrong. You shouldn't be neg'ing anybody.

Why not? What policy says I can't? No different than the argument I'm hearing from the buyer side...I'm not 100% happy, therefore I'll leave a negative.

If you did not know the purchase price / shipping charges, would you be unhappy?

Sellers: This is why you never leave feedback first.

But the seller did nothing wrong. You agreed to pay a certain price, and you got what you paid for.

Do you really think that when you do to Wal-Mart to buy a 2-liter bottle of Pepsi that you are getting some kind of deal b/c it was on sale for $0.89? Sorry buckaroo, Wal-Mart didn't pay $0.89. They paid way less.

So are you gonna call the BBB?

That's not unethical, or against policy.

It is a frivolous negative. Why are you being such an ass?

Because I think that is a totally lame practice. Who cares if it is frivolous. Seller should beware - this practice will result in dissatisfied customers. Tell me how my argument is no different than buyer beware?

You're not happy because your wife is an idiot? Instead of leaving a neg why don't you go show your wife the back end of your fist for not shopping around first. This seller did nothing wrong. Your wife is stupid.

You are out of line insulting the OP's wife. I expect you to send him an apology via PM. If you can't conduct yourself here without insults, you are not welcome.

I can't agree. Your wife got exactly what she bargained for. I don't see how you have any good-faith basis not to be happy. At worst I could see leaving a neutral, but even that seems unfair to me.

wow you are a dick.

IF You got what you bid for and it arrived in good condition then you have no reason to neg the guy.

and yes he incured shipping charges. he had to have it shipped from amazon to yhem.

hope you never buy from me. you would give me a negitive when i mispelled something in a email.

I think alchemize you need to step aside and look from a neutral position. The seller sold you a good at the price both parties agreed on, and the item was delivered safely.
There's nothing to warrant a neutral nor negative feedbacks.

That's not unethical, or against policy.

The $12 is usually shipping and handling, maybe the seller values his time a lot and handling the purchase for your wife at amazon is worth $12 of his time. The seller did nothing wrong, your wife received the good at the agreed price plus the shipping.

BTW, I hate little not eBay buyers like this OP. I had a perfect 1,300+ record with eBay (1,300 - 0 - 0)

Then I sold a brand new Creative web camera to an eBay'er. Nothing wrong with it. Worked perfectly fine. Was factory sealed in the box. The person got the item, decided that I shipped it fast, but they weren't particularly impressed with the product's performance. So he left me a neutral.

WTF, I didn't make the damn thing! :|

IT is not the sellers responablity ot make sure you get the best deal. IF your wife is a idiot and did not search for a better price then that is to bad. YOU AGREED on the price and shipping for a item from someone. YOU got that.

now you want ot neg them? damn you are a idiot also. PLEASE do not have kids. we don't need more idiots.

THe whole feedback system is based on a "did you get what you paid for" approach. You got what you paid for, at the agreed price.

You are mad, because your wife paid too much. She could have bought the item at amazon.com for less. Lesson learned. Move on.

No offense, Alchy, but I think you're way off base here.

I guarantee you Amazon couldn't give a crap what happened to this item as soon as it left their warehouse. It's still a sale to them. Why would they care?

There is a huge difference. Walmart is leasing the space, and the guy in your example is a trespasser. The other guy is perfectly free to do business with Amazon and drop ship it to your house.

Wal-Mart wouldn't give a **** b/c no one is dumb enough to pay $1 for it when they can pay $0.89 for it in the store...

Oops, I spoke too soon. Must go read the OP again 😀

I suggest you take the advice of others and take a step back. You're in the wrong, you're part of what's wrong with ebay and if you can't see that, that is a shame.

I don't know if they care or not. I know Dell cares if you buy and resell in bulk on ebay, so it only stands to reason they would care even more if folks did direct markups.

Leaving a neutral is just as unfair. The seller tendered the goods at the agreed price.

It is a positive, or don't leave feedback at all.
