ebay/paypal problem: i think i've been scammed

Lifer
I bought another phone off ebay (link) and sent the seller paypal immediately. He had a lot of [what appeared to be] credible feedback, so I had no hesitation sending the paypal.

As already stated, I paid using paypal the day the auction ended (mar. 18). I have yet to hear anything from the seller. I've emailed him twice, but to no avail.

What is my next step? I'm trying to google him for a phone number right now and hopefully we can clear this up.

Squaretrade.com just helped me out with a similar situation, thanks to advice from people here. About to go update my thread.

i just got his phone number off whitepages.com. It's 11pm my time, so I'll give him a call around noon my time tomorrow. I hope this is a big misunderstanding.

it's been 10 days, maybe yes maybe no...

i don't usually communicate to buyers after i sell them anything (yeah i know) but i always respond to emails. If you don't get any emails or anything within...4 days (2 weeks) you're probably screwed

i called both numbers that were listed in the white pages, both people denied ever using ebay. I filed a claim with paypal.

I bought some records off ebay..the seller shortshipped me, I emailed him 5 times finally he got back to me saying all my emails were in his junk/bulk folder. Might be the same problem.

I just won something off of Ebay myself.....though I received two different emails to pay through account. One from the usual end of bid @ebay email and another from the "seller". Do you think the one from the seller is a scam?

Might not be, I've gotten those before, but knew it was coming. Sometimes the sellers have their own payment systems in place. Read the seller's payment terms in the auction to see if they stipulate using their payment system.
