You seem to have answered your own question already, and are continuing to get bent out of shape over seemingly trivial details.

Buy something you think is right. Worst-case you return it.

JCH13, I didn't get bent out of shape. Not sure why you thought that. But no one forced you to read or reply. And I'm not sure what question you mean that was answered but I had several questions that were not.
Buying and returning is a hassle. And if mail order, I pay shipping. Possibly a restock fee. I think some (all?) places won't take back a used part anyway. And if not used, I'm not sure how buying would help me figure out if it's the right part or not.


LTC8K6, I never said I don't believe them but still had questions.

I'll ask again:

Why does Denso show the part # is 234-9017 and not 192400-1170 like my car has and I'm guessing came from the factory with?

Someone on the Amazon page say Denso 234-9005 will work. How likely is that true? Are there several that will work?

Why does mine look exactly like a narrow band 02 sensor, and not like any of the wide band 02 / air/fuel ratio sensors I've seen?
