This has been bugging me for a loooong time. I have a plain vanilla Firefox install and Pale Moon with add-ons. The FF has no add-ons that could cause this to happen.

So, what happens? Well, sometime when I go to log into eBay the connection isn't secure. I have to reload the page. It has happened in both browsers. Other sites like my bank always encrypt when I connect! WTF is wrong with eBay!?

Also, FF and Pale Moon clear cookies and cache on exit so it ain't that.
 
Sounds like their HTTP to HTTPS redirect doesn't work very well. Could beone of their Load Balancers or Session managers has the S dropped off.
 
Yeah, it's been a crapshoot on all my computers. Even PayPal has problems when you pay for stuff, but I think that's due to mixed content. What ever the hell that means.
