Ebay lady just emailed me her credit card info..

Aimster

Lifer
She didn't know how to work PayPal so she just emailed me her credit card number and experation with her number on the back of the car and her full name and address.

Some people... good thing for her I'm not going to abuse it.

Do I make a new paypal account and send myself the money or do I simply file a none buyer complaint with ebay because she doesn't know how to pay?

Talk to the lady first. Tell her how to set up a paypal account. Good luck with it, and glad to hear you're one of the honest people. 😀

She claimed she paypal'd me the money earlier and I emailed her saying she didn't and she replyed with her credit card info. I accept money orders as well as I stated to her earlier but she made no comment on it.

"Aimster" and "honest" are rarely found together in the same sentence. See his past posts for more information. 😉

Old people are the primary targets for stolen identities... and it's no wonder.

My grandfather's Sears card was somehow charged a few hundred dollars recently. Lucky it wasn't a huge amt. :Q

Ok I'm not going to make an account because that sounds risky and illegal. I am going to tell her how to make an account.
Thanks for the help.

It used to be a not so suprising thing, before paypal and other services came along there weren't too many places that were taking cc's online so many sellers would have to manually use their merchant account to process it. Though I definately wouldn't be doing it now.

Talk to her again. She may have "Paypal'd" the wrong e-mail address. Tell her to cancel the payment immediately and try again. (And tell her you don't want her CC info and not to be do that to anyone ever again because of how dangerous it is.)

Why don't you try working with this lady, tell her what to do in order to pay you.You might win a loyal bidder for future auctions.

I'd send her an e-mail stating what she did was not good at all and explain to her and help her so that she understands and does not give out her CC# so easily. That is what I would do.

No big fan of Aimster myself, but if only the fate you wished upon him would happen to YOU.
