Ok, so last thrudsay (3/20) I bid on and won a PS3 for $320 (+$20 shipped) which seemed like a decent deal considering it will come in the original box, with spiderman on blu-ray, and the receipt, blah blah blah.
Anyway, I sent payment the following morning (3/21) via PayPal (non-cc funds). I have yet to hear ANYTHING from the seller (Who had over 600 feedbacks with 1 negative).
I have sent 3 messages via Ebay. The first two on Monday and Wednesday and finally one this morning. In my first two messages I nicely asked if and when the item had shipped and if there was a tracking number. In the final message (this morning) I told the seller if I haven't heard anything from him by tomorrow morning that I will be opening a PayPal dispute.
I always feel like an ass making threats, but the purchase is big enough that I want to make sure all is in order. So I just wanted to see what the other folks on Anandtech thought. Am I being rude making "threats" at this point, or am I justified.
The other thing is, I am sure if it does go south PayPal will tell me to go fly a kite. I have gotten ripped off once before on Ebay and PayPal basically said "sorry" and that was it. Fortunately my credit card company stepped up to the plate.
