Ebay "info" links for cheap hardware...what's the scam???

http://www.get-free-electronics.com/usa/apple_powerbook1.html

this is the site that does it. Basically a pyramid scheme.
They even suggest putting up ebay auctions in their FAQ to attract new customers and lure more people into the scheme.

basically, according to them-- you buy 130 dollars worth of their EBOOKS, and after 20 people come after you and also buy 130 dollars worth of ebooks, they will send you a free gift (in this case, a powerbook)

but unlike traditional pyramid schemes== it can be any 20 people, not just 20 people you refer like most pyramid schems.

The winning bidder will receive a link that will take you to a website that offers many different electronics, including the Apple Powerbook G4 listed above.
That's the scam, in the second line, you dorkwad.

Ran
It seems more like a way for a seller to advertise his own site.

Bid on a link that will take you to his or his friends website and he makes money from both the bidder and the site. LOL.

It is an interesting way to make money though.
