Still can buy alot of stuff that you can't get for that price even with the Buy it now. I get alot of older (expensive) software off of ebay for 1/3 of what its listed on other places I can buy it still. I just can't afford the latest and greatest of $300 and up software so I buy the working prior versions and if I need the latest for whatever reason it was usually still worth the savings just to be able to buy an upgrade version.

Don't know much about equipment though, just use ebay to buy software.

Even if you filter the buy it now out you still end up with dealers selling brand new items for retail prices. I miss the day when you could find something used in great condition for a killer price. Now its full of people without a B&M store nor the capability to manage a sale.

I wish you could filter out all items sold by someone with less than x feedback and more than 1000 feedback.

Edit: Now that i think about it, the only really great thing about ebay is finding odd items that dont fit in a regular store.

I do however love half.com.

Guess the BIN feature is different since I used to buy from Ebay. Usually the seller would just start the price at 195 and say BIN for 200 which is almost as bad but now it seems they have given the option to sell at a certain price without even letting the client bid.

wow, i didn't know you could do BIN only "auctions" now. they really should separate those from the general listing becasue if you can't bid on it... that isn't an auction...
