Only problem is the 2nd gig is Japanese audio with english subs and not the Japanese/English audio version. Then again if you know Japanese I guess it's not that big a problem.

EDIT: I just remembered that both seasons were on 7 dvd's not 3.... since I have all the DVD's cept for the last two 2nd gig dvd's. I bet this is someone who TIVO'd all the episodes and burned them to DVD.

If this seller is legit though they have the entire Bebop series on DVD for $10!

These are almost surely Hong Kong bootleg dvds. The all-region coding is generally a dead giveaway, along with a huge number of eps per disc.

It's bootleg. Looks nothing like the official covers. For the official sets, there are 14 volumes/discs in total, 7 per set.

The GITS english voice actors are actually very good. Otherwise I stick to the Japanese + subs.

Trigun was pretty good, and reminded me a lot of Cowboy Bebop. You should probably check out some of the Gundam series, if you like that stuff. Many people consider Zeta Gundam to be the best series, but the newer ones (Gundam Seed and GS: Destiny) are a lot prettier.

Check out This list.

PM me with any other questions, I've seen quite a few of the shows on that list.

I agree on sub being far better then the dub versions, but for GITS I think there shuold be an exception. When the fansub Laughing Man (only fansub to sub GITS when first released) took the challenge of subbing GITS, the large use of vocabulary and technical words left me really confused at the end of an episode. I often had to pause just so I could read out the long sentences to know whats going on. Atleast on the dub version on Adult Swim, it's not as technical and easier to just listen and watch.

I just Netflix them. I don't bother to burn second-rate copies either, since (even ignoring ethics) why spend the time and money when I can always rent them again later?

2nd Gig is not fully released yet in the US (#6 of 7 is out 7-25) so 100% chance these be pirate discs, yarr.

that is out the the realm of the discussions allowed on here..needless to say, get them off of netflix and enjoy them in 5.1

the difference between the cartoon network broadcast and DVD 5.1 is awesome.

BTw, iirc, Cartoon network already ran all of season 2.

Torrent it. You will find lots of fan subs. However you are not supposed to download licensed anime as that is somewhat illegal. Anime isn't regulated though.
Also fan subs are lower quality than the real deal and I would buy the real deal over the cheap fan subs.
Someone go report that eBay seller!!! Noone is suppoed to sell fan subs as groups put hard work into subbing it for the international community!

Google search laughingman fansubs or LMF. I downloaded episodes 1-26 of GITS 2nd gig when I got tired of waiting on adult swim to bring those episodes to the US. A fan sub is basically a raw tv rip of the show usually originally aired in japan with subtitles. They are usually subbed by a fan of the series, hence the term "fansub"
