Ebay buyer workaround....leaving positive feedback with negative comments?

Thinking about starting to do this since ebay has basically fucked sellers from reporting on non-pays, bullshit, etc from buyers. Since this has happened my non-paying bidders are about 5-10% of my transactions. I personally think they are people selling similar items just taking out the competition (all have had 10 or less total feedback and created around the same time of the rule or later).

So I was thinking just give them a positive but comment as "Buyer did not: pay/communicate/etc" I know it can't help stop them, but maybe ebay will finally realize it's not just a buyer market after all.

I don't understand. Why can't you leave negative feedback anymore?

If you leave somebody negative feedback, they're retaliate by giving you negative feedback, which ruins your perfect feedback.

How is that different from the system they used to have?

Yeah that's all you really can do as a seller if there are issues. I doubt most people go through and read feedback, though, they just look at the pos, neutral, and neg totals.

no, this is not it. I have taken my shares of negatives now (2 or 3 over 600+).

It's against ebay policy to leave a positive feedback with negative comments. If the feedback recipient contacts ebay about it, ebay will remove the comment but the positive will still count. The feedback will show a positive and say "comment removed by ebay"

No way, you've got to be kidding me. Anyone have a link for this?

Well that's just ridiculous. So I guess if a seller runs into a bum buyer, they're just not supposed to leave feedback. :/

That's funny I was thinking of doing that the other day. Then I noticed the guy already left me positive feedback. Big mistake, asshole!

This guy is actually refusing to refund my money unless I leave him positive feedback first. So I'm just going to leave him negative feedback and file a claim with Paypal.

see this is why as a seller you should wait until the transaction has completed prior to making any response.

What would the refund be for? Link to auction?

the idea is to let ebay know how we as sellers feel. They will have to keep editing.

my thoughts exactly. If i do read any of the feedback, i read the negative and neutral feedbacks, not the good ones.

You know, it's like writing evaluations when you're in the military. There's ways to write comments that make a person seem like they walk on water.......and then there's ways to write comments that, while on the surface may seem all well and good, actually show how mediocre the person's performance really was.

Just learn how to do the latter, and you might get away with it. :sneaky:
