Also, after perusing the OP's Ebay reviews......for some reason the first 3 pages are mostly the same exact review - word for word. And its not even for the item listed. whats up with that?

OP should refund the money, and find different reviews to post.

who cares. its pretty clear that the OP isn't trying to screw people over and if you actually read the description or the title it says AS IS.

edit: what i acutally saw was his new auction, the original one is a little sketchier as the title says nothing about it being broken, but still people need to learn to read.

Dude, when you are selling a broken item, the description shouldn't be freaking ambiguous. The title makes it sound like it's an upgraded PS3 that works.

"it doesn't flat out say" + "pretty much self explanatory". There should be NO question. You have to scroll down and read into the details to figure that out, not to mention it's not clear that the unit is not functioning at all. I've never even heard of the blinking red light. I'm going to bet that a lot of people would assume that it's got a broken light and the unit functions other than that.

He said it says "AS IS" and that it's "BROKEN" in his title. That's an outright lie if you look at this ebay posting.

first off the OP lied here and tried to say he did moer then he did.

the orginal auction while he did mention that it had problems is so nothing more then him trying to screw someone but then be able to say he said it was broken.

Sure, any of *us* would be expected to do our due diligence and investigate what this blinking red light is before making a bid, but then again, we are all members of a technical forum. I find it's always best to word your ebay auctions as if your audience is some grandma purchasing a gift for her grandson. In that respect, his item title and description leave a lot to be desired.

The only hint he gives that the PS3 might be broken is some blurb about a blinking red light (which I assume is like the RROD, but not being a PS3 enthusiast, I wouldn't know, maybe it's just a visual annoyance and the PS3 is still fully functional).

I was half awake when I posted my thread on the ebay issue on here. I thought i posted BROKEN in the header but I was wrong - I did list that the item was broken in the description. I'm not a professional ebayer, hell, I'm immensely lazy about it and expected to get a few dollars back and put as much work into posting the ad.

I didn't intend to mislead anyone and said "fix it if you can!"

I also asked her, before shipping, if she knew that the unit was broken because I didn't want to screw her if she didn't read the description. I was under no obligation to do so and, since she said she didn't realize that it was broken, I quickly offered her a refund. It was her request for a money order that was strange.

Regardless, I'm giving her her money back in full (not minus any fees),

I may be overlooking something, but I don't see anywhere in the description in your original auction that stated it was broken. I see the blinking red light comment, but honestly, that doesn't clearly communicate to me that it's broken. I don't think many people understand what a blinking red light indicates. You should definitely take the time to clearly detail your auction more clearly next time.

Of course that is another topic all together from the scam that the person requesting the refund is trying to pull.

Just reply you can only refund via the method it was paid for. We do that all the time.
