The box came but the power adaptor doesn't fit my outlet. It is made for European or some other market.

It doesn't say this anywhere on the auction.

Questions:

A) How much are the converters? Should I just buy it and leave him positive feedback?
B) Should I nicely ask him to pay for the converter?

If it was sold from the US and there was no indication that it was anything other than a US power system, the seller is responsible as it is implied (and common sense) that it is made for a US outlet.

Did the original auction mention that the plug fit North American standards? If it doesn't bsay so then you buy at your own risk.

I don't think a simple converter/adaptor will work if it's Eurpoean... we have 240V power over here and you have 120V (assuming you're American)

dude just go buy an adaptor euro phones come with Euro plugs...

they can be had very cheap like 10 bucks from cell warehouses..

you shoulda researched your purchase a little more... overseas phones that are not availible in NA dont come with our plug.

and we are the only country to use our standard of power plug.

I wonder if someone has tried to sell sleep on ebay?

That's not a bad idea!

*goes to ebay and posts an auction for "Sleep in a Jar"*

Put a little liquid ether in that jar, then when they open it it will evaporate and *smack* they'l be asleep in no time.

Many phones have chargers that accept anywhere from 100 to 240V without any additional converters other than for the actual plug. This is usually the case when I buy electronics from Hong Kong. Just has the round plugs instead of the blades. $3 adapter is all that's necessary.

Obviously, check the adapter before attempting to plug it in!

The item was sold in the US.
Based on your profile, it was shipped to the US location.
The auction does not indicate that the charger is not US compatible.

The only thing in the auction that could raise a flag is the manual is not in English.

Find out what a charger will cost and request the seller to compensate you for it or else return the unit without any charges to you.

If it's sold from a U.S. location and it's not a phone that is only available outside of the US, it is reasonable to assume that it will come with a charger that will work in the US.

Well I agree with the rest of the posters but one thing in the auction post has me concerned. In the auction it states that the manual that is included is not in English. The seller might point out that would be a tipoff that it's not a phone from the US.

Extremely shady seller. I thought that all new moto's were using the mini-usb chargers. If so then you can pick up one for really cheap on eBay. But not before a few angry e-mails to the seller.

It isn't recommended if the battery is totally dead. But the phone was designed to be able to be charged over a usb connection. you won't blow your battery.

The seller states, "No international orders including APOs and FPOs."

This would slightly suggest that the product was intended for use in North America. :disgust:

Just go out and purchase what you need, e-mail the seller for compensation and if the seller doesnt provide you with any, then it is out of pocket money. That is just how it goes sometimes when you purchase on egay
