I just listed my laptop on eBay as another method to try and sell it. Within the same day it was sold to a buyer with no feedback. Well that doesn't bug me as long as I have funds in hand before shipment. I send an invoice to the seller and this is the e-mail I received.
Hello,
Compliment of the season to you. I am <name withheld> from New York USA, but Presently i am leading a conventional church program in London. I saw your item below and i will like to buy it for my daughter that will be starting a Computer science course in University of Nigeria Next week. Dont worry about the shippment to Nigeria ok? i will send you my company fedex account after the payment so that you can ship the item to her without paying any shippment fee. Moreover, I will be paying you via Western Union Money Order. Kindly send me your address in other for me to make the payment right away. So mail me now because it's urgent.
Thanks
Regards.
Now I wasn't born yesterday. This e-mail is throwing up all sorts of red flags. My auction clearly states I will not ship outside of the US. What is my next step of action? Whoever this person is, real or not, has cost me my listing fee. Can I contact eBay and tell them about this? Maybe they will relist the item for free?
