Ebay Auction Notifier?

I've been looking at some specific items on ebay, and every time I find them at good prices, this one guy always beats me to the punch within minutes, sometimes seconds, with 'Buy-it-Now'. Auctions are out of the question since the prices usually start going for more than the item is brand new!

Is there a program out there that will alert me on specific items in a category as soon as it's posted? I need something that will constantly refresh ebay and/or notify me the second it's listed so I can beat this other fellow to the punch 🙂 Right now I'm using the ReloadEvery extension via firefox, but sometimes I'm browsing other tabs or doing something else...
Is there anything like this?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

If you want something and the price fair - just "Buy It Now." You can't be one-upped doing that.

I find the actions are generally rigged with shills who deliberately go above the current fair market price.

Many "buy It Now" options are from dealers or pseudo dealers that have several of the same item.

Thanks corky -- I understand how Buy it Now works, but the problem is that I can't get to it fast enough. As mentioned, this one guy uses "Buy it Now" within seconds of it posting... He buys them all because they're very sought after.
