Ebay advice.

Ok....so I sold something on Ebay and the person who bought it isn't pleased with it...and wants a return. What should I do? I didn't false advertise or attempt to do anything illegal. What should I say to this guy that wants his money back and to sell the part back to me?

The last person who won the auction didn't pay so I'm already $3 down for that, plus the $3 listing fee - $15 shipping and the auction ended at $43. I only turned $36 on something I originally payed $45 for. (and never used)

Advice please.

hmmm.. is the item still sellable? I'd try saying exactly what you said... "The product is as advertised and I can't take a return"

If the customer complains.. and the item is in good condition, just have him/her pay for the shipping and handeling...

it's like a spoiler for a vehicle. The spoiler is black and in the same condition I got it. I couldn't use it because it didn't fit my ride. (wrong year/design) So I just threw it back up online and auctioned it off. There were no scratches or dings on the spoiler, but the buyer is questioning the paint job on it. I never really looked at it because it was only taken out of the box long enough to see that it wouldn't fit. I don't have time to try to auction this thing and worry about it because I'm going to be travelling for the next month. Yikes.

Unless you implied a no-hassle return policy in your auction listing, tell him nicely that he is SOL.

agreed...but if you didnt say "as is...blah blah blah" then I dont know...is the guy being a jerk??? cause if he is then we will just have to take the ATOT posse over to his crib and pop a cap in him
sry I'm kinda bored

My rules......If the item is as advertised - then no returns.

Ebay is not a mail order store where you return stuff just because you don't like it.
I have a lot of Ebay transactions and have only returned stuff when it arrived in a
condition not as advertised......usually the wrong model or a damaged item (advertised as
being in mint condition and arrives full of dings and scratches)

Good Luck

If you are feeling generous, ask him to refund any fees (eBay, Paypal, shipping) that you incurred and to ship the item back at his cost. 🙂

Ebay kind of sucks but sometimes it is the best place. I had a guy win an auction from me and he emails me asking me how much I am making off the sale and wants to know who I bought it from. This is all before he paid me and he was getting pissed about me not telling him where I get my stuff from.
