OP, you're pretty much screwed since it isn't a high ticket item. Nobody on ebay/paypal (same company) cares about you since they only made a 2 dollar profit off the exchange.

Ebay isn't a guaranteed service, so you get what you get.

You got pwned, and it's time to deal with it.

If you bought a big ticket item, people might care. But this auction is going to cost you more in time then it will in savings.

Why do you care about the freaking manual? Does the ripped booklet stop you from playing the game properly? If not, move on. That game is never going to be worth anything more than the few dollars you paid for it on ebay.

thanks for your thread. It reminded me that half.com owes me $55 for a book that I never received. Now i'm pretty pissed because I followed all their claim filing rules, it's a pretty clear cut case of a guy stealing money and bailing (5 additional negatives in the same week), and yet I never received a response/refund

Pro-Tip, If you know you're looking for something special, ALWAYS about the item before bidding. Good luck with your future purchases from eBay! "

He's right. You're wrong. Is the game barely played? He wins.

Stating that the "game is barely played" has NOTHING to do with the condition of the case. If the game plays fine, wtf do you care what the condition of the case is? Its a ps1 game, how ****** old is it? Move on.

You need to find something better to worry about. Who the hell cares about the case and the manual? Play the damn game and stop being so whiney.

Yes, don't dilute the joy you get from playing FFT. Honestly, it's a great game, and the crappy translation just makes it better.

I wanna play tactics now... great great great game..

and to the op, not worth the hassle.. try finding the game new somewhere for less then 25 bucks if you really want that manual. I guess it would be a greatest hits version though which some people dont like.

Lesson learned: always make sure u see pictures of exactly what your getting before bidding.

I don't see how the seller did anything wrong because buyers are the ones who need to be responsible for what they bid on. I see this as miscommunication on your part because if you wanted a almost mint condition FFT game, you woulda went the extra mile to check/ask for pictures and message the seller about the condition of the manuals.

Bah, you fail at teh eBay. I bought a couple of U2 singles on eBay and every time I bought one I asked questions unless the seller provided 2-3 pictures and I could be sure they were in good condition.

I'd say Buyer Beware. You should have clarified what you were buying instead of just buying it from a description with no pictures.

And honestly, who cares of the manual is ripped as long as the game works. Are you really going to be using the manual?

I always contact every seller before I buy something just to confirm the facts. Even if they state it in the auction, I still have them message me the same thing so I have it in my email.

the seller was deceptive, not disclosing obvious defects in the manual and case is misleading.

he didn't say the disk was barely used, his description applies to everything he listed, unles he described the exceptions.

Exactly. It's technically correct but misleading.

does the game play? are you a collector so you need it mint or nm? i don't see the prob with the case and manual being poor as long as the game plays.

Then you should have been more conscientious as a buyer. It's your fault. Good luck on your next auction.

Just because you bought it as a gift you're expecting special treatment? Get real.

You're kidding right? In case you didn't read any of the responses (even the ones you responded to), I've been participating in this thread. But then, obviously you haven't been reading much if you didn't realize that.

At this point in the game why are you deciding to be such a low-life troll? The auction stated what it was. You obviously didn't ask questions. You got a game that plays just fine but with a manual and inserts that sucked. That's YOUR fault. It seems that now you're yet another kid that wants something for nothing.

But instead of leaving well enough alone, now you want to call me out. Give me a break. Grow up. Is all of this really worth it for the $20 or so you spent for this just so that you could save some money on a friend?
