Ironwolf- You will no longer be able to profit from scalping Wow now that the supply chain has reopened, it will not tighten again.
My Local Electronic Boutique told me 4 weeks ago that Blizzard was not going to sell any more copies until they upgraded their servers. I did not believe them, why turn down money when servers are so cheap.? Still without a CD key my brother could not sign up.
The clerk at EB was not lying. The support staff at Blizzard has done an amazing customer service by limiting distribution until they have enough staff to support the current server load.
have been playing since the open Beta and my server medium population. You shouldust sign up on a low population and you will have a better experience. Expect only occaional slow downs in very high population zones such as the central city auction house, the transfer of items at the auction, and the in game email system... So I did not think the problems were serious enough to warrant limiting the supply and losing profit for Blizzard.
Did they really just run out of printed, burned CDs in boxes to sell? No because I was able to order directly from blizzard. com two weeks ago when the ebay price was still 30$ higher than the retail at blizzardd, just because no B&M or online vendor had them in stock. If it were not for their distribution deal, they could have just sold the accounts without physical CDs since HALF A MILLION people already downloaded the entire code from their open BETA, which only took an update to turn into the first day of retail code.
So they really held back the supply.
Order from blizzard.com.
Reward them by giving the slim profit from EB back to blizzard for its good customer support and AWESOME game of the epoche.
