EB Games 75% off pre-played PC titles $14.99 and under

I'm off on a trip this week and needed something to play on my laptop (unfortunately held back by the Geforce4 440Go) so I checked out the local EB games (at the Eagle Rock mall in L.A.).

The pre-played games section had a notice that all games $14.99 and under were 75% off so I picked up:

Dungeon Siege for $2.00
Medieval Total War for $3.75
True Crime Streets of L.A. for $3.25
Civilization 3 Multiplayer Gold for $3.75

and ('though I won't be playing them)

Ghostmaster for $2.50
Law and Order: Dead on the Money for $2.50

I suspect this deal is YMMV especially on the selection. They had quite a few of the Battlefield 1942 expansions for $2.50 each and copies of (ugh) Unreal 2 for $2.00.

Hope someone finds this useful, I'm stoked about CIV3 MP gold.

I got Alpha Centauri for 1.30 after tax at one of these deals, you can usually find some really good deals in the bins at these sales :thumbsup:
 
A couple weeks back, I picked up Soldiers of Anarchy for $1.40, Undying for $2.99, & almost picked up FFVII, but the sale didn't apply because it was regularly $19.99. Plenty of stock, so I'll be going back soon to see what they pulled out from the storage room recently.

OP, don't forget to pick up the conquests expansion pack. It makes a world of difference. I picked it up last year, & I've just gotten around to the scenarios.

Ghost Master was a quiet hit as well.

Rainbow Six 3: 1.25

Games I didn't get were Age of Empires 2, Rise of Nations, Lords of the Realms 3, and more that were in the same price range. Go get em....
 
The store near my sisters house had the 75% off sale starting today, plus they have a buy 2 get one free on the used games, so she got me 56 games which I picked out over the phone for 84 dollars 🙂, I just got into gaming and didn't have any of the old stuff, now I have most of it, YMMV, I know most of the stores had this a while back.

I remember playing SOF2, something like 16 different individual body parts can be shot off/damaged. Iron Storm really flew under everyone's radar; I enjoyed it.

Sadly, both locations near me(queens, ny) were picked clean. Some spares here & there, but all the good stuff is pretty much gone. 🙁

How can they have pre played PC titles? Are they just the CDs? I never knew I could sell my old PC games to them.

I just called a couple different local EBGames, and they both confirmed that this promotion ended yesterday (11-28-2004). I was going to stop by the mall last night and load up, but decided not to be too late to my D&D game. Damn j00 stupid elves - for making me miss out on a cheap copy of Warcraft III!
 
Yup, I stopped in at my local EB B&M and the deal is off. I had some nice games in hand but when the clerk rang them up, he said that it looks like the discount is no longer valid.

I had Warcraft 3 in my hand on Saturday but it rang up $19.99 at my local EB so no deal. Then today, I find WC 3 Frozen Throne with a $14.99 tag on it, but now the deals off.

No luck I guess.

If you can find it. As far as I know, only those 2 packs might be around, but I never saw EB carry those in the first place. I've only heard of Fry's & CompUSA having them. There are still plenty of decent games around, but you shouldn't go there expecting anything.
