Eat Pray Love

SandEagle

SO suckered me into getting this on demand. I told her you look like the type that wants to watch Eat Pray Eat. Lol she didnt find it funny

Anyway I forgot how much I hated julia roberts. This movie sucks. I feel less manly now 🙁

/waits for the creepy laughing gif.

I always liked her appearances on Dave, but have never been that fond of her in any movies.

OP, do you have a vagina? If not, WHY would you agree to watch this movie?
I've been married over 35 years and my wife couldn't drag me to see that one. (nor either of the "Sex in the City" movies)

I actually like Julia Roberts. I think she's HAWT...but she does have an awfully big mouth...<insert horse picture> I just don't care for most her movies because of the extremely high levels of estrogen associated with them.
Chick flicks are for girlz...not teh menz.

yeah, I don't get the hate for JR. I think she's all right, does some non chick-flick stuff that's pretty good.

she's a classic hottie.

Oh I think she's attractive, there are just few films she's been in that I actually liked. I did enjoy Duplicity, though it seems I was the only one. 😀

ah, that's the movie I was trying to think of. forgot the name. I have decided that I will watch every Tony Gilroy penned and/or directed film. He does great stuff.

Yeah I thought it was quite well done. I like Clive Owen quite a bit, so that helped too.

Bah, those 'Sex and the City' movies were pretty funny actually and I did watch the series on HBO with my wife. But I wouldn't watch 'Eat Pray Love' if you paid me...well, maybe if you paid me. 😉

I like Clive, too.

Michael Clayton was an awesome flick.

Gilroy also write the first Bourne flick, and *I think* the second one under duress, because he was so pissed at how the first one turned out.

😀

No, I just really don't like her.

Leave it to OT to assume it's something about her appearance, as if that's the only thing that can ever be noticed. 🙄

I am the embodiment of ATOT! And don't you forget it!!! 😛

Oh, and FTR, you were about as specific in this post as you were in your first post. Is this Charades? We're supposed to guess why you "fucking hate" her?

What do "fucking hate" about her exactly? Be specific!!! There must be something to invoke such intense feelings.

lol. the ultimate parody. i would pay to watch that

drink_play_fork.jpg

In Drink, Play, F@#k Bob Sullivan, a jilted husband, sets off to explore the world, experience a meaningful connection with the divine, and rediscover his passion. His travels lead him from his home in New York City to a drinking bender across Ireland, through the glitz and glamour that is Las Vegas, and to the hedonistic pleasure palaces of Thailand. After a lifetime of playing it safe, Mr. Sullivan finally follows his heart and lives out everyone's deepest fantasies. For who among us hasn't dreamed of standing stark naked, head upturned, and mouth agape beneath a cascading torrent of Guinness Stout? What could be more exhilarating than losing every penny you have because Charlie Weiss went for a meaningless last-second field goal? And what sensate creature could ever doubt that the greatest pleasure known to man can be found in a leaky bamboo shack filled with glassy-eyed, bruised Asian hookers? Bob Sullivan has a lot to teach us about life. Let's just pray we have the wisdom to put aside our preconceptions and listen. Because what Bob Sullivan finds isn't at all what he expected.

I have a confession to make. I did like Eat Pray Love, the movie. It is a pretty damn good reference if my female friends got some problem like feeling depression. I refer them to see this movie 😉

why? its horrible advice. depressed? get divorced and go to 3rd world countries where everyone speaks perfect english? reality is, it will be boring as fvck to travel ALONE and try to 'find' yourself. stupid movie is stupid. im typing as the movie is wrapping up now. worst movie i saw this year so far

Wife tried to get me to watch this too. I can't stand Julia - I got out of it with a work meeting 🙂

I am pretty neutral about Julia Roberts but the trailer did absolutely nothing to pique my interest. Neither did the book when I leafed through it at a bookstore.
